I just saw the byline on that story and it's from July 25th, so perhaps my notice isn't timely. I believe I first heard about the hoaxer on the Holly Net, or the Wednesday night net.

Anyway, if they caught the guy there would have been another news story.

An excerpt from the article seems to have narrowed the area down pretty tight:
